With over 35 years of experience in commercial and residential development, Mike Rich has played a pivotal role in shaping a wide range of real estate projects across Florida. After earning his degree from the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction, and Planning, Mike began his career at his family’s firm, The Rich Group, Inc., where he managed both horizontal and vertical construction for single-family subdivisions and office buildings.
Mike’s career gained momentum when he joined a Texas-based development firm, taking the lead on its Orlando operations. There, he directed the planning and execution of a 100-acre, mixed-use, tourist-oriented project in Kissimmee, Florida. The development featured hotels, a shopping center, apartments, and timeshare units—demonstrating Mike’s ability to oversee large-scale, multifaceted projects.
He later brought his expertise to a Winter Park-based development firm, where he was responsible for the design, entitlement, and construction of retail centers. His contributions led to his promotion to Partner and Chief Operating Officer, roles in which he guided numerous commercial projects, including medical office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels, and expansive mixed-use developments.
Today, Mike leads Centergys Development, an Orlando-based firm specializing in retail property development with a focus on shopping centers. He holds certifications as a Florida Certified Building Contractor and a licensed Real Estate Broker. An active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Mike remains engaged in industry trends and continues to bring innovation and strategic insight to every project he undertakes.

Centergys Development, partnering with a Winter Park development firm, played a key role in presenting this project and facilitating its transition through investor involvement. The project broke ground in December 2024, with Publix completion expected by November 2025. Besides Publix and its associated liquor store, the development will include tenants such as Circle K, Chase Bank, and several other retail concepts designed to serve the growing St. Augustine community.
